The 12 Day Adventure is a mixture of primates and wildlife. It will take you to most of Uganda’s best national parks; Murchison falls national park the most visited park in the country, Kibale national park- home to the most number of Chimps, Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi national park and a feel of Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 1: Arrival to the Pearl of Africa – Transfer to the Hotel
On your arrival, Great Trekkers Safaris representative will welcome you to Uganda at Entebbe airport and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe. Enjoy the breeze from Lake Victoria – 2nd largest lake in the world before you. Overnight at Pineapple guest house. Meal plan – Bed and Breakfast
Day 2: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Have an early breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park. The journey is a magical adventure with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary route to track Rhinos. Your ranger guide will brief you after which you proceed to trek Rhinos in the sanctuary. After this fulfilling experience and photo session, we proceed to Murchison falls National Park arriving late evening. Check in, have dinner and Overnight at Pakuba Safari lodge / Fort Murchison lodge. Meal plan – Breakfast, lunch & Dinner
Day 3: Game drive and Boat Safari on River Nile
Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest National Park in Uganda and offers fulfilling game viewing. The game drives start early morning right after breakfast which increases the chances of sighting different animals especially the predators that tend to go into hiding during the heat of the day. The game drive happen in the northern bank of River Nile, where we look out for giraffes, elephants, hartebeest, Buffaloes, Leopards, Lions and different bird species. In the after-noon, the safari will continue on River Nile – Nile boat safari towards the mighty Murchison falls. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds and falls from. You have an opportunity to watch the falls from below. Do the hike to the top of the falls and later return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight at Pakuba Safari lodge / Fort Murchison lodge. . Meal plan – Breakfast, lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale National Park
Today we depart for the primates capital; Kibale National Park. Kibale forest is home to 13 species of primates with the main attraction being chimpanzee tracking and bird watching. The journey to this tropical forest passes villages and colorful road markets. Lunch will be en route or packed. Dinner and Overnight at Isunga Safari lodge / Kibale Forest Cottages. Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking – Bigodi Community Walk
Chimpanzee tracking is a fulfilling adventure that takes you deep in the tropical forest with streams of water and abundant wildlife. You will start with a briefing from the ranger guide about your chimp trek. On your trek, you might have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black-and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your ranger guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play, groom, and feed. After lunch visit Bigodi swamp – a community project known for its rich diversity of birds and primates depending on the availability of time. This community project is involved in providing employment for youth through tour guiding, some of the proceeds go into establishment of schools and teachers pay. Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, take a three-hour picturesque ride to Queen Elizabeth National park via the Kasese area, famous for the great Rwenzori Mountains and the crater lakes. Take lunch and relax at the Lodge as you enjoy the scenic view of this game park before you end your day in an adventurous style with a well guided nature-community walk to the twin crater lakes. Day 7: Game & Boat- Queen Elizabeth national park
We will wake up for an early morning game drive with an informative ranger guide who will help you search and point out wild animals as he/she leads you to the various habitats of the game. Lunch at the Lodge and later in the afternoon take a boat-ride on Kazinga Channel to see birds, semi- and aquatic animals that rely on the channel for their livelihood. Day 8: Queen Elizabeth national park
Breakfast, ride to Ishasha Section of the Queen Elizabeth in search of the tree climbing lions often to be seen in the vicinity of the camp which is situated just off the Northern circuit game viewing track. Later, utilize the network of park trails to explore more of the scenic beauty and rich wildlife of this remote parkland bordering the Congo. Dinner and Overnight at Enjojo Safari lodge lodge. B.L.D
Day 9: Queen Elizabeth- Bwindi
Early morning drive to Bwindi through Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth national park with a chance to have a glimpse of the famous tree-climbing lions. Arrive in the evening, check in have dinner and get ready for your gorilla adventure the following day. Dinner and Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla lodge. B.L.D
Day 10: Gorilla Trekking- Batwa community experience
Today is the long awaited day! Early morning preparations for the activity, pack lunch, attend briefing by the Ranger-guide, get hold of a walking stick and follow the Ranger to the Sanctuary. Maximum time allowed with the fascinating Gorillas is one hour. Spend the rest of the evening visiting the Batwa community and return to your lodge for dinner and Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla lodge Meal Plan B.L.D
Day 11: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
Have morning breakfast, check out of lodge and we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi arriving later in the afternoon. Check in, have lunch and later we do a boat cruise where we get to visit several islands on this lake. Return in time for dinner, camp fire and Night rest at Arcadia Safari lodge. B.L.D
Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala / Entebbe
Have morning breakfast, check out and we embark on a road drive to Entebbe making several stop over en route for a community visit to the children school at Nyabuhama a charity project supported by our company before we proceed with our drive stopping for lunch and photo experience at the Uganda Equator. We later drive to the airport in time for your flight back home. Exchange of hugs and say bye to the pearl of Africa after spending memorable days in this beautiful country.

EXCELENTE The Great Trekkers Safaris
Nosotros acabamos de llegar de Uganda y realmente ha sido un viaje increíble de 12 días. Después de contactar con varias agencias locales y leer muchas opiniones muy positivas en internet nos decidimos por The Great Trekkers Safaris, ellos tienen un precio muy competitivo respecto a las otras agencias y nuestra experiencia insuperable.
Desde un primer momento, el contacto con Juan (delegado y representante en España de la agencia) fue muy satisfactorio, con muy buena comunicación y preocupándose en todo momento para que nuestro viaje fuera perfecto.
En cuanto a la organización del viaje, en nuestra opinión, fue impecable desde el momento en el que nos recogieron en el aeropuerto de Entebbe hasta que nos dejaron en el mismo aeropuerto.
Con Makoma de guía y a Patrick de chófer-guía, estupendo conductor que demostró una gran habilidad conduciendo. Con ellos nos reímos mucho y nos lo pasamos genial durante todo el itinerario. La experiencia fue muy buena con ambos!!!
Tanto Makoma como Patrick siempre atentos en todo, se adaptan a tu gusto y te hacen un viaje para el recuerdo, un viaje perfecto. Han sido unos profesionales y unas personas magníficas, se ha cumplido de sobra todas las expectativas en todos los sentidos. La atención al cliente estupenda !!
